How to get care from Cedrus Psychiatry

  • It starts with a quick call. To determine whether Cedrus Psychiatry may be a good fit, you can schedule a free 15-minute phone conversation through the appointment page. This call allows you to briefly share your situation and review key practice policies and fees. If both you (or your family) and the psychiatrist mutually agree that Cedrus Psychiatry is a clinically appropriate match, an initial consultation appointment will be scheduled.

  • Care at Cedrus Psychiatry typically begins with an initial consultation, followed by ongoing follow-up appointments.
The initial consultation generally consists of one session totaling approximately 120 minutes and preferably conducted in person.

If ongoing care is established, follow-up visits may take place in person or via secure video. Appointments are typically offered as:

    • 50-minute sessions (psychotherapy, combined psychotherapy and medication management, or more complex clinical needs)

    • 25-minute sessions (medication-focused visits)

Visit frequency is individualized based on clinical needs and safety standards. Active patients are typically seen at least once every three months, with many patients following up every few weeks to every few months.
