Dr. Yasmina Saade de Chaisemartin
Dr. Yasmina Saade de Chaisemartin is a board-certified child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist.
She practices in English, French, and Arabic, and has conversational abilities in Italian and Portuguese.
She trained at Johns Hopkins University, and at the Washington University in St. Louis, after working at the Pitié-Salpêtrière Hospital in Paris. She earned her MD from the American University of Beirut.
She serves as a Staff Psychiatrist at Children's National Hospital and holds faculty positions at George Washington University (Washington, DC) and the Lebanese American University School of Medicine.
She is licensed to practice medicine in Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virginia.
Services
Evidence-based, conservative care that prioritizes therapy and lifestyle supports before medication, using the lowest effective dose when medication is needed.
Therapy-informed approach drawing from CBT, ACT, and psychodynamic principles.
Services include diagnostic evaluations, medication management, consultations, family/parent meetings, and coordination with schools, therapists, and other physicians.
Initial evaluations are preferably in person; follow-up visits may be in person or via telepsychiatry.
Accepting new patients; works with children, adolescents, and young adults ages 6–30.
